FAQ

What is WordServe anyway?
WordServe is a new United Methodist Church serving the greater Fulshear/west Katy area. We began worshipping together on a weekly basis on February 1, 2009. Check out our Worship page for more information and to find out what you can expect from a Sunday morning with WordServe.

What does the name WordServe mean?
WordServe is what you get when you hold together two biblical concepts that are the core of who WordServe strives to be. Our desire is to be shaped by the Word of God (the Bible) and to serve God’s world. Often it is easy to focus on one or the other, but at WordServe we believe the two things can’t truly be separated. When and where do you meet?
We meet for worship on Sundays at 9:45 AM at Huggins Elementary School in Fulshear. Click here for a map.

What should I expect when I come on Sunday?

•    A service that usually lasts between 65 and 75 minutes
•    A band that doesn’t include a pipe organ
•    Friendly people who will help you find your way around
•    Biblically-based messages that are relevant to your life
•    Fun, safe programming for your kids
•    A place to be yourself and meet new friends

We hope WordServe is a safe place for you to explore faith. No matter where you’re coming from – whether you’re single, married, republican, democrat, with kids, without kids, blue collar, white collar...and anything in between – we invite you to come and see what WordServe is all about. No “church experience” necessary!

Do I have to dress up?
Nope! Just come as you are. Like we said, we want you to feel relaxed and at home at WordServe.

Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! We love kids. WordServe Kids, our awesome children’s ministry, is equipped to serve children from birth through fifth grade. All staff and volunteers are fully trained to work with children. (Remember: if you bring your kids, you have to take them home with you, too!) Kids are also welcome to sit with parents in the worship center; we just ask that you respect those around you and take your child to the lobby if he or she is disrupting the service. Click here for more about WordServe Kids.

What about my teenage kids? Is there a youth group at WordServe?
WordServe Youth is a great place for 6th through 12th graders to connect. Click here to go to the Youth page and learn more.
