A Beautiful Day
The sun shone and the breeze blew on Easter morning, creating a picture-perfect day for WordServe’s first ever Community Easter Celebration. Over two hundred people gathered by the lake at Cross Creek Ranch on April 24th to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ. The worship band kicked things off by rocking out to “Beautiful Day” by U2, and kids, teenagers, parents, and grandparents learned about the story of Easter through an interactive message from WordServe’s pastor, Nolan Donald. The story of the Resurrection was brought even closer to home through the powerful testimony of Cathy and Kerry Richards, who shared about miracles God performed in their own lives once they began to truly follow him.
After the service, everyone stuck around and enjoyed a free breakfast and helped pack 80 care packages for children living in the slums of Bogota, Colombia. Children also 
had the chance to decorate their own colorful bags to use to collect eggs in the huge Easter Egg Hunt!
