On Sunday, August 23rd, WordServe has got your back...in more ways than one! We're not only a church that will be there for you when it comes to friendships, life's ups and downs, spiritual growth, and everything in between...we've got your back in other ways as well! Join us as we get ready to go back to school with a blessing of the backpacks at our Back to School Bash!
For our Back to School Bash, we're encouraging students in 5th grade and under to bring their backpacks to church. WordServe will have a special service where we will focus prayer especially on our students, their teachers, and the staff of schools in our area. We will pray over students' backpacks as well. Immediately following the service, we will serve brunch and have some fun kid-friendly activities including a bounce house and a mission project. It's going to be a great way to kick off the new school year, and we're excited to be a part of it!
In the weeks leading up to August 23rd, WordServe is collecting backpacks and basic school supplies (crayons, paper, notebooks, glue, pencils, etc.) for children in need at Huggins Elementary. Bring supplies on Sunday and drop them off at the Welcome Center, or contact Brooke Brown at for more information.
