Christy calls LaGrange, Georgia home, but since she grew up near the state line, feels very much at home in both Georgia and Alabama. She graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama where she was a double major in Human Development Family Studies and Congregational Studies. After graduation, Christy traveled to Ashford, England to spend a year as a missionary in the local schools. She later attended Asbury Theological Seminary to obtain a Masters in Counseling. In 2002, she moved to Auburn, Alabama and played an integral role as the Program Director at a rapidly growing Methodist church plant. Christy has also worked as a Project Manager for a marketing company and has developed promotional items and recruiting programs for the National Guard.
Christy married David, also from Alabama, in 2009 and in September of 2011, moved to Katy from Tulsa, Oklahoma after being transferred with David’s job. Their daughter, Emma, was born in May 2012. When Christy is not working on a Pinterest project, she loves spending time with her family, taking pictures of her daughter and hanging out at the lake.
Christy is passionate about the church and helping it communicate in a world filled with so many different messages. She is a worshipper at heart and cares deeply about building Godly marriages.
