Worship as One Compassion Event

Sunday, February 26, 2012, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Worship as One

Imagine coming to a new country, knowing no one or very few people but sensing a need for community and desiring to worship with others who believe in Jesus.

Many Nepalese and Bhutanese Refugees gather at New Creation Church in Los Arcos Apartments in SW Houston, every Sunday. Wordserve Church will share God’s Love and His Word as we worship with these in celebration and community on February 26th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The entire family is invited to participate, help serve lunch and build relationships with the families involved at New Creation Church.  No special skills needed and this is family friendly.

The New Creation congregation also appreciates clothing and shoe donations of all sizes. Many families within New Creation are living well below poverty levels.

On the morning of the event,  all who wish to serve will met at Huggins Elementary at 9 a.m. and carpool to Los Arcos Apartments. Compassion leaders Chad and Erika Yelverton and Peter and Lisa Kitchen will contact all who register with specific details as the event draws closer.

WordServe Youth Gathering

Every Sunday, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

If you're a 6th through 12th grader, WordServe Youth has a place for you, and we can’t wait to meet you! WordServe Youth gathers together every Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 in various locations around Fulshear/west Katy to hang out, eat food, have fun, and learn more about God. Come anytime – you’ll always be welcome here. It’s a great place to bring your friends!

Sometimes we study a book (like this one about a guy who chose to live as a homeless person), sometimes we study topics like "Life in School," sometimes we dress up like pirates (what's THAT about?),...but we ALWAYS have a good time learning more about ourselves, the world around us, and what God has to do with it all.
