FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about WordServe Church

What is WordServe?
WordServe is a Global Methodist Church serving the greater Fulshear/West Katy area. We began
worshipping together on a weekly basis on February 1, 2009. Check out our Worship page for more
information and to find out what you can expect from a Sunday morning with WordServe.

What does the name WordServe mean?
WordServe is what you get when you hold together two biblical concepts that are the core of who
WordServe strives to be. Our desire is to be shaped by the Word of God (the Bible) and to serve God’s
world. Often it is easy to focus on one or the other, but at WordServe we believe the two things can’t truly be separated.

When and where do you meet?
We meet for worship on Sundays at 10:00am on the campus of First Fulshear Methodist Church
(8201 Harris St. Fulshear, TX 77441)

What should I expect on a typical Sunday morning?
We hope WordServe is a place where you can explore the connection between real faith and real life.
A typical Sunday morning often includes:

  • A casual environment where you can be yourself and meet new friends
  • A Celebration of God’s presence and work in our lives, our community, and our world
  • A worship service that usually lasts about 1 hour
  • A fantastic worship band playing great music
  • Friendly people who will help you find your way around
  • Biblical messages that will challenge you and make a difference in your daily life
  • Fun, safe programming for your kids

Do I have to dress up?
Nope! Just come as you are. Some people wear dressy clothes, some people wear shorts and flip-flops. Like we said, we want you to feel relaxed and at home at WordServe, so wear what you want!

Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! We love kids. Our awesome children’s ministry is equipped to serve children from birth through fifth grade. All staff and volunteers are fully trained to work with children. Kids are also welcome to sit with parents in the worship center, but the programming in WordServe Kids is designed with them in mind, and we think they will love it! Click here for more about WordServe Kids.

What about my teenagers? Is there a youth group at WordServe?
WordServe Youth is a great place for 6th through 12th graders to make friends, ask questions, and grow as joyful servants of Jesus.  Our Youth Group meets Sunday evening from 5-7pm, starting in the Gym. Click here to go to the Youth page and learn more.

What is the best way to get involved at WordServe?
There are lots of ways to get connected at WordServe! We generally encourage people who want to get involved to join a Community Group and get involved in a Serve Project. These are two of the best ways to meet other WordServers and to really connect into the life of the church.
