WordServe Youth FAQ

My kid is in 5th grade. Can he/she come to a Youth meeting?

WordServe Youth is for students in 6th through 12th grades. In the summertime, we will announce when rising 6th graders can make the switch into WordServe Youth.

What kinds of things does WordServe Youth do?

At WordServe, we focus on two main goals: being shaped by God's Word and serving God's world. WordServe Youth is no different! We meet for Bible study, fellowship, service projects, and sometimes, just some good, old fashioned fun! Whether it's through a digital picture scavenger hunt or serving the homeless in downtown Houston, you can be sure that WordServe Youth is having a great time learning more about what God wants for our lives.

When and where does WordServe Youth meet?

WordServe Youth will meet on Sunday evenings during the school year from 6:00-7:30 at the home of Dave and Colleen Penner (in Cross Creek Ranch).

My friends don’t go to church. Can I bring them to Youth?

Absolutely! We'd love to meet your friends, and WordServe Youth is a great place to bring them if they aren't necessarily interesting in "going to church." Bring them to an OMG meeting (Outstanding Moments with God), or to one of our fun activities. They'll get to know new people, and they just might be interested in finding out more about God.

My friends go to a different church. Can I bring them to Youth?

Of course! Your friends in 6th through 12th grades - no matter where they go to church or to school - are welcome at WordServe Youth anytime! We'd love to meet them!
