Serving Locally
On the third Saturday of each month, WordServe will sponsor Serve Saturdays, where ordinary people like us go out into our community in love and service to others. Usually, the mission projects will last from 8:00am to noon, though this isn't always the case. Projects are family-friendly (for kids of all ages), but children under eighteen will have to be accompanied by one or both parents unless otherwise indicated.
Serve Saturdays are great ways to meet new people and to live out our faith. You can sign up for Serve Saturdays online through our Events calendar, or you can sign up on your yellow Connection Card on Sunday mornings.
Another way WordServe reaches out into the community is through The Church Has Left the Building, a Sunday morning when regular worship services are cancelled and our guests and regular attenders go out into the community to serve our neighbors.
