Pilate and the Jewish Council argue over what is to be placed on the sign above Jesus' Cross. What's at stake for them? The truth of who Jesus is. What's at stake for us? The same! What do we "write on that sign" to suit our needs? Do we label Him Savior? Healer? Provider? Or do we label him King (who is Savior), King (who heals), and King (who provides)? Only one label requires our total allegiance. And only one label represents the truth of who Jesus is.
