Studying: A twelve-week study called “A Light in the Darkness” by Alistair Begg
The Gospel records tell us that Jesus repeatedly talked about doing the work of His Father, which was to provide payment for sin and breathe spiritual life in all who believe. As a result, those who are spiritually blind and live in darkness might have their eyes opened and become witnesses to His powerful light. Jesus performed great signs, ultimately, not so people would be amazed, but rather so they might believe and in believing they might have eternal life.
In this series Alistair Begg leads us through several unique and transforming encounters that people had with Jesus - the Light of the World. He exposed their real problem: the darkness of their sin and their need for forgiveness and a Savior. We will discover that their problem is universal and Jesus provides the only solution that brings conversion. We will be challenged as believers to become Jesus’ witnesses - to shine His light in this dark world.

On October 2, the AM Group will begin a new study, “Finding I Am,” by Lysa TerKuerst. We will explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. We will learn to trade feelings of emptiness and depletion for a more personal fulfillment from knowing who Jesus is; stop living like a slave to our circumstances by training our hearts to embrace the life-giving freedom God wants for us; and gain a better understanding of how Jesus’ words 2,000 years ago are applicable to the answers we are searching for today.
