The Beatitudes create an incredible framework of what God's designed happy life looks like. Jesus warns us that as we take the happy life seriously we should expect resistance and opposition. So frequently we run from places where we are persecuted for our faith, but Jesus says persecution is the clearest sign of happiness, is a good thing, and is fuel toward the life God desires.
